How real is this example

Word colours come from matching the speech-to-text result, not from a sound-level score. ELSA and Microsoft's Pronunciation Assessment score each sound; that needs a paid speech service.

Microphone: uses the browser's own speech-to-text (Chrome and Edge send the audio to Google / Microsoft to turn it into text). It is blocked inside the claude.ai frame, so try it on the Cloudflare preview in Chrome or Edge. Speech-to-text makes more mistakes on Vietnamese accents (arXiv 2503.06924, in our round-7 research), so the marks here are deliberately soft.
